Sleek, simple, and smart push assist
The sleek, simple, and compact design allows the R90 to sit under your chair. It's inconspicuous and intuitive & maintains your chair's size and turning circle. The V-Lock attachment system secures the R90 to most folding and rigid wheelchairs. The simple Control Box enables easy push-button use and can be ergonomically positioned for easy use. When power assist is not needed, simply push a button to raise the wheel up for zero rolling resistance. The Sunrise Intelligence app allows you to select the performance profile that best suits your environment.
V-LOCK
Simple, secure attachment
The patent-pending V-LOCK™ is a tapered latch that securely docks the R90 to the receiver on the chair. Combined with the ergonomic, easy-grasp handle; upright orientation; and rolling tire, the R90 can be attached by many people while they are seated in their chair.

SIMPLE CONTROLS
Push-button propelling
Limited hand grasp or dexterity? With the R90's wireless Control Box, you can start and control your speed with the push of a button. Conveniently attachable to any part of your wheelchair's frame, it allows you to:
Raise or lower the wheel any time.
Adjust your speed as needed: lower in crowded rooms, or higher to match your dog's pace, with a top speed of 5.5 mph.
Get moving by pressing the plus (+) button, or propel to the speed you want and press the plus (+) button to maintain it, like cruise control.
The Control Box wirelessly connects to the R90 using Bluetooth®, ensuring there's no cable in your way. It maintains a reliable connection no matter your movement and can be easily detached for transfers or to prevent damage during flights. There's no learning curve; just faster, slower, wheel up, or GO!
Compatibility

The Empulse R90 is compatible with most rigid and folding wheelchairs. The reciever brackets don't interfere with chair components, and still allow folding chairs to fold.

Performance
Drive performance
The compact design of the R90 offers great handling, agile turning, and stability. The R90 was designed for uncompromising performance, extended range, and ease of use, so riders can commute to work or school (without arriving sweaty), run errands, or take longer trips.
Center spin
The R90 drive wheel is positioned under your seat. This means you can maneuver forward, backward, and 360° with minimal drag or hang-up. In tight spaces, move as you normally do. Getting into and out of tight spaces is just as easy with the R90 mounted, raised, or removed, as it doesn't extend beyond your rear wheels. The center spin of the tire allows for precision turning. No fishtailing, no rear bounce. It moves like it's a part of you.
Go the distance - removable battery & range
Getting around with the R90 is so easy and fun, you'll choose it over your car. The standard battery has a range of up to 9.8 miles*, and the extended battery has a range of up to 19.5 miles*. Take a second battery with you to go even further. Remove the battery to lighten the R90 when carrying or transporting it.
The standard battery (2.5 Ah) meets current regulations to be carried on a plane (always verify with your airline for current regulations).
* Range is dependent on the ground surface, the weight of the user, driving behavior, temperature, and terrain.
One-hand speed control
To maintain your speed, go faster, or slow down, simply push a button on the easy-to-access Control Box. This frees up one of your hands for more important things, like coffee.
Patent-pending wheel up function
When the R90 is not needed, raise the wheel for zero rolling resistance. This can be done with a button on the Control Box or from the Sunrise Intelligence app. Even though the R90 is easy to remove, you can just raise the wheel and keep it on your chair all day long.
Smooth ride
The R90 propels you with a patent-pending suspension, reducing bumps and vibrations. The extremely durable, airless rubber tire provides good surface contact and a smooth ride with minimal maintenance.
Smart Device
Sunrise Intelligence App
Use the app during the initial setup of the R90 to optimize its performance to the rider's weight and wheelchair. The R90 App allows you to select the performance profile and maximum speed that best suits your environment, whether you are indoors or outside. The preset drive profiles are tailored for specific environments for speed, torque, and slope thresholds.
The app shows battery charge, so you always know when you need to recharge. You can raise or lower the R90's wheel and check the position of the wheel from the app. Historical data is shown in a dashboard so you can track your maximum speed and distance. The app is compatible with Android™ and Apple® iOS.
