Peerless folding performance
Our QUICKIE Xenon² lightweight wheelchair is famous for its peerless folding performance and the sleek style.
From just 8.8kg and with a unique cross-brace combined with a reliable axle stem, the Xenon² is a ultra-lightweight wheelchair that’s easy to fold, lift and transport. It's been cleverly designed to create the kind of minimalistic style that you'd expect from a rigid, active wheelchair.
The lightest aluminium folding wheelchair in the world.
With a fixed-front frame for a clean, streamlined design, and innovative technology, the Xenon² FF is the ideal match for those with a very active lifestyle who demand an ultra-lightweight yet stiff wheelchair for maximum driving performance.
-
Hydroformed technology
Hydroformed technology increases the wheelchair's strength, allows for thinner tube walls, and decreases the overall weight. By heat-treating the aluminium the Xenon² became lighter and stronger than a conventional folding wheelchair.
-
Aerospace aluminium
The genius behind the Xenon’s ultra lightweight folding frame is 7020 series aerospace aluminium that provides rigidity and resistance at a minimum weight. Outstanding folding and driving performance.
-
Excellent driving performance
The combination of the oval shape frame tubing and the 7020 areospace aluminium increases rigidity and decreases flex to maximise speed and efficiency at every push.
Peerless Folding Performance
At the core of the Xenon² is a unique cross-brace that fits so neatly under the seat it's barely noticeable - giving a very minimalistic, open-frame feel that you'd usually associate with a rigid wheelchair.
-
Speaking of folding, as the Xenon² active wheelchair weighs just a mere 8.8kg, it’s also effortless to fold and handle, for example in and out of the car. The new aluminium latches on the cross-brace will also keep your wheels in parallel when folding, so your Xenon² remains stable, no matter the situation.
-
But the similarities don’t end with the appearance – the axle stem (combined with the cross-brace) provides the stiff, stable driving performance feel of a rigid frame, but with all the portability of a folding one.

Meet Yeray Betancor
"I was looking for a wheelchair for someone with an active life. I wanted it to be lightweight, modern, folding and easy to lift up to the car with just one hand - and the QUICKIE Xenon² ticks all those boxes."
Before the accident I was a normal guy, who liked practicing sports, being with friends, good conversations, and everything related to a healthy lifestyle. After the accident I am still the same. I just do things differently now.
My life changed in a second since that day I decided to take a dip in the pool. The only thing I remember is diving into the water, getting a bump on my head and waking up in the hospital, with a spinal cord injury at C6.
And what happened later? As much as it sounds that after a setback it’s impossible to keep going, I can assure that it is. And it can be done in an incredible way. Nowadays I work as a TV presenter in a programme in which I sit with relevant people in our society and chat about life.
I’ve always been a QUICKIE guy: active and dynamic, and I think that the QUICKIE Xenon² is the best fit for me.

Many customisation options
Whether you’re looking for the very best in driving dynamics or the most compact folding dimensions, there’s a Xenon² just for you. Exactly as it should be – designed to be fine-tuned and adaptable to your changing needs
-
Easy change of driving characteristics
Do you want to change your wheelchair driving characteristic from passive to more active, or the opposite way? Just change the centre of gravity setting by simple repositioning of the axle stem: and don't forget to adjust the back angle for more ergonomic posture.
-
Adjustable to suit you
Designed to be adaptable to your changing needs, the new and improved axle stem on the Xenon² provides easy height adjustment by simply unbolting and repositioning the axle clamp, so there’s no need to be without your wheelchair for the adjustment to be made. It can also be cut to match your desired rear seat height too.
The choice of two wheel axle adapters also gives you a number of adjustment possibilities. The standard adapter allows for easy centre of gravity adjustment with crescent-shaped spacers, whilst the lightweight adapter can be mounted upside down to achieve the highest possible seat height.

Castor wheels
Stand out from the crowd with 5 different castor wheel colour options.
3 frame options
Choose between the classic Xenon² FF (folding frame as shown mainly on this page), the Xenon² SA (Swing-away) or the Xenon² Hybrid. The Hybrid version is reinforced and has a fixed front frame, no rigidity is compromised and it also has a maximum user weight of 140 kg. The Xenon² SA has the most compact folded dimensions for easy portability by car. The frame is reinforced and has a swing away front, for easier standing transfers in and out of your wheelchair.
Innovative design
The Xenon² lightweight wheelchair is just as innovative when it comes to performance too. By combining ShapeLoc Technology with a hyrdroformed oval-shaped frame, we’re able to increase rigidity and decrease its flex, so not only do you have a wheelchair that’s easy to lift, you’re also maximising your speed and efficiency at every push!
